Mid West Division

The SCCA’s Midwest Division (MiDiv) is one of nine geographic divisions within the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), covering an area from the Mississippi River to the High Plains, from the Black Hills to the Red River. The SCCA is divided into Divisions for competition purposes, and further into Regions which are the local clubs within SCCA.  There are 14 Regions within the MiDiv. The Division holds road racing events at six tracks, Gateway (St. Louis), Hallett (Tulsa), Heartland Park (Topeka), Memphis Mid-America Motorplex (Glenwood, IA - south of Omaha), and Motorsports Park Hastings (Mid-Nebraska).  The 2008 racing season has something new and exciting in the Midwest Division. The GTA Class was included in the division’s regional racing schedule. Not only will the GTA competitors have the opportunity to race at all regional SCCA events, they will be busy setting the GTA track records at each of the six tracks. The GTA competitors will also be gathering points in their attempt to capture the individual regions points championships in the GTA class.

The Midwest Division is the home of the Mid-Am Championship Series. This is a SCCA Regional series that races at selected events across the Midwest Division. The GTA competitors now have a chance at becoming the GTA Mid-Am Champion.  The GTA National Tour Challenge will be making a stop in the Midwest Division with its June 14 & 15 2008 event at Heartland Park.
