- SARRC -

The
South Atlantic Road Racing Championship is an SCCA Regional race series
consisting of selected SCCA Regional events across the Southeast plus
a double-points championship event
held at Roebling Road Raceway near Savannah Georgia in September of each
year. Championships are awarded in all SCCA classes, and GTA was officially recognized
starting in 2006.
Although any
SCCA member is welcome to run the SARRC points races, only drivers whose
region of record is in the Southeast Division can contend for the title
of SARRC Champion. Some of the SARRC events feature two points races
during the weekend and are labeled Double SARRCs. Because they provide
competitors two opportunities to earn points with one set of travel
expenses, the Double SARRC weekends draw the highest car counts. Some of
the larger weekends will have almost 400 cars in attendance with
twenty-plus racers running in GTA. Taking advantage of our
moderate winters, SCCA Club racing is scheduled on a year round basis in
the Southeast and will feature 25-30 chances to earn SARRC points. The
SCCA Southeast Division sanctions races at Homestead-Miami Speedway,
Moroso Motorsports Park ( West Palm Beach FL), Nashville Superspeedway,
Sebring International Raceway, Daytona International Speedway, Roebling
Road (Savannah GA), Barber Motorsports Park (Birmingham AL), Road
Atlanta, Carolina Motorsports Park (Kershaw SC), and VIRginia
International Raceway (Danville VA). For additional information
